We recently embarked on a vibrant and inspiring three day trip to Auckland. Our days were filled with exciting visits to our wonderful suppliers, exploring the latest offerings and discovering beautiful new product for our projects - not to mention, delicious food and cocktails. We’re excited to share some of our favourite moments with you below.

Day One: Our first stop in Auckland was with one of our exceptional natural stone suppliers, CDK Stone, a true standout of our visit. Viewing these large pieces of natural stone never fails to leave us in awe. The array of beautiful colours, intricate veining, and natural detailing makes it almost unimaginable that each unique slab was crafted by mother nature. Next, we had the pleasure of visiting our wonderful suppliers at Woodwrights and Tim Webber - two distinguished New Zealand furniture studios, each with their own unique offering. We are very familiar with their refined and modern pieces however it was great to have opportunity to experience the comfort and craftsmanship of their designs firsthand - and the all important ‘sit-test!’! We ended the day at 159 Design, a central interior design destination, featuring a curated selection of furniture, textile and rug suppliers.

Day Two: Our day began at the Residium showroom, which provided a brilliant experience - a space that features an array of suppliers, including Bremworth, Laminex, and Lo&Co, among others. After spending a couple of hours exploring the Residium, we ventured around the corner to Vida Space. Vida Space offers an impressive selection of engineered timber flooring and veneers. During this visit, we were introduced to a few new colours and had the opportunity to view them in large planks, an essential aspect when selecting flooring. We spent the afternoon at Global Tile, where we were treated to a delightful lunch and, more importantly, explored an exceptional selection of international tiles that we look forward to incorporating into future projects.
We had the pleasure of spending our evening at the Fisher & Paykel Experience centre, where we were hosted by Cosentino to celebrate the launch of their ‘Earthic’ range - new surfaces born from a groundbreaking research project on materials and sustainability, in collaboration with the iconic studio Formafantasia. An absolutely fantastic evening, filled with new insights and wonderful product!
Day Three: Our last day was full of back to back meetings with more of our wonderful suppliers. We started at Material Space which quickly became a favourite stop - featuring a beautiful and unique selection of tiles, mosaics and natural stone. We left Material Space feeling inspired and brimming with creativity. Next we visited Robertsons showroom, where we explored a wide range of bathware and plumbing supplies, each collection tailored to a specific style and client. Before heading home, we made a final stop at Cosentino, where we learned about their recent trip to Europe and explored their latest selection of natural stone offerings. Val, if you’re reading this, thank you for the scones and homemade cream!

Of course we balanced work with some leisure. Here are our favourite leisurely stops.
Where to stay: The Convent, gorgeous and charming interiors, a spectacular restaurant and a cosy wee cocktail bar.
Where to eat: Lilian for divine food and a lively atmosphere - you must get the chicken liver parfait, and Florets for a humble croissant and noteworthy coffee. Ada at the Convent was also a true delight to experience.
Where to shop: Cult Design for unique furniture and accessories, Woodwrights for New Zealand made furniture underpinned by a family story, and French Country if you lean towards a more classic aesthetic.
